Introduction Video

Key messages:

  1. A diet usually means cutting something out or reducing it. However, it's important to remember that you don't need to cut something out completely instead consider changing how much time you are spending in that space.

  2. You could decide to cut your overall harmful media diet by 10% each day by watching less TV or not scrolling through your social media sites at lunch and getting up and walking instead.

  3. You could choose not to scroll in your social media feed first thing in the morning or right before bed.

  4. You could limit toxic people in your news feed on Facebook or Twitter.

  5. You choose what works best for you and reflect on how you feel when you reduce the intake of negative events, talk, and images.
